Sheriff’s Medal at Points Competition

The Troon Portland Curling Club hosted its annual points competition on Sunday, 25 February.

Congratulations to Lisa Mason, who won this year’s competition with a score of 32 points. She will be presented the Sheriff’s Medal at the club AGM in April. Club President Ewan Marr placed second, with a score of 27, and Robina Gilbertson placed third with a score of 26.

Ten members took part in the competition, which required members to successfully complete various curling shots, such as a takeout, hit and roll, place a guard, etc. in order to score points. Each player attempted each shot four times, and the points were added up to make each player’s score.
