November Stranraer Weekend

Our first visit to Stranraer took place on the last weekend in November. 12 members had an excellent time, enjoying a quiz on Friday evening, thanks to quizmaster Brian, and the scheduled 3 games of curling on Saturday and Sunday. Even better, all three teams qualified for the semi-finals, with David McIntyre’s team defeating Mara Lindsay’s team in one semi-final, and Bert MacKay’s team just losing out to the eventual winners after an extra end in the second semi-final. Well done to David’s team of Lillian, Freda and Frank McHugh for flying the flag for Troon Portland in the final, which they narrowly lost. Thanks to Brian for organising the weekend – roll on March!
