Forest Hills Trossachs Friendly Competition
The annual friendly inter-club competition against members of the Forest Hills Trossachs Curling Club took place on Sunday, 19 January, with two Troon Portland rinks playing against two Forest Hills teams.
By chance, the competition ended in an exact draw. Both clubs managed to score 8 points in five ends against the other team’s 2 points in two ends, meaning there was no winner or loser. Since Forest Hills won the competition last year, they retain the trophy for another year.
The Troon Portland rinks were skipped by Alan Caldow and Bert McKay.
The teams enjoyed both the curling and the off-ice refreshments after the match, and we look forward to next year’s competition.
