Finnie Kettle

  • 5th November 2017

A rink from Troon helped the south of the river win the Finnie Kettle on Thursday, 31 October. The Finnie Kettle is a match organised by Dundonald Curling Club between rinks from north of the River Irvine and rinks from south of the river.

Two teams of six rinks from various clubs competed for the Kettle with the aggregate score deciding the winning team. The south won the trophy by approximately 12 shots, and the trophy was presented to the Troon Portland rink as the highest scoring rink from the winning team. Curlers attending the AGM next spring can look forward to seeing this impressive trophy.

Congratulations go to skip David Kerr, Mara Lindsay, Wendy Hollingworth, and Janice Sutherland.
